Ely









One of the last warm days of the summer I went to a ranch in Boonville,NC to photograph calf roping. When I got there I met Ely, only 3 years old, who wanted to personally show me how to rope and get around the ranch. He loved the camera and wanted to take me for a spin in his golf cart.
I used a Nikon N90 35mm body, 24-85mm & 180mm lenses, and 200 speed 135 Fuji film.
I shot all of these on aperture priority at f/5.6.

Ely. What a cool dude. I especially like the shot where he roped his own ear! ...I'd love to see the other shots.

Ryan, I especially like the first shot of Ely..great timing. I think his expression is priceless and the rope on his ear...it is just perfect!
